Cozy, friendly, great beer garden, good food, cheap

Whether in winter or summer - it doesn't matter! You arrive here and can enjoy a good beer and delicious Franconian cuisine. The homemade cakes are always a tip and in summer the shady place outside under the linden tree beckons. My family and I now come regularly. Sometimes as a rest on a hike, or directly. Good food for a fair price. And you are also served friendly here!

The nice innkeeper had to do well. He was a cook and waitress in one person. The lunch menu is clear. We chose simple dishes that were delicious and reasonably priced. Beautiful excursion possibilities to the castle ruin Leienfels, Bärnfels or Obertrubach are possible from here.

TripAdvisor we came to number 1 of Pottenstein. Actually, we only wanted lunch there, but we liked it so much that we went there for almost three hours. We did not really want to leave. Value for money is world class, great food, fresh, fast & nice service ... long story short ... we enjoyed it so much that next year we will spend the night there and go on vacation. Thank you dear team from the castle ruins. See you next year, in August!

Insanely good Franconian food! Rarely eaten such a good Schäuferla. Absolute recommendation! It does not get any better. Would go right back today.

I was there twice, ate roulades once and a Schäuferla with dumplings once. Both were delicious and well presented. The service was very friendly. The food came quickly. We recommend. There is free parking so that you can park 10-20 meters from the restaurant.

We were there near 2pm, there was only the small card. The meal was ok, the terrace in the sun very pleasant.
